accessibility
statement
conformance target
smoove is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. WCAG 2.1 covers four principles: perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

1. our commitment
Cali Banger Inc, on behalf of smoove, is committed to providing an inclusive digital experience to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to access information about our products, find a licensed dispensary, and engage with the smoove brand — regardless of ability, technology, or context.
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We treat it as an ongoing responsibility and continuously work to identify and remove barriers.
2. conformance standard
This site is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the prevailing standard cited in current U.S. accessibility law, including:
- The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.
- California's Unruh Civil Rights Act, Cal. Civ. Code § 51 et seq.
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (applies to federal contracting; we adopt the same standard voluntarily)
We voluntarily exceed minimum compliance where reasonable.
3. measures we take
To support accessibility, smoove:
- Designs with accessibility as a baseline requirement, not an afterthought
- Tests new pages against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria before publication
- Runs automated accessibility scans during the development process
- Performs manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers
- Reviews this accessibility statement annually, or more frequently as the site evolves
- Includes accessibility competence in our service-provider selection (designers, developers, vendors)
- Trains team members on accessibility best practices
4. accessibility features
Specific accessibility features built into ilikesmoove.com:
perceivable
- Alt text on meaningful images (decorative images are marked as such for screen readers)
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- Text resizing supported up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Content is not conveyed by color alone — color is paired with text or icon indicators
- Responsive design works at all viewport sizes from 320px wide up
operable
- Full keyboard navigability — every interactive element (links, forms, buttons, the spin-the-wheel modal) can be accessed without a mouse
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Skip links to bypass navigation on every page
- Sufficient time for any time-sensitive interactions (no auto-advancing carousels without controls)
- Escape key dismisses modals (age gate, spin wheel, mobile menu)
- No content flashes at rates that could trigger seizures (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.3.1)
understandable
- Plain language in body copy where possible (legal pages necessarily use legal terminology)
- Consistent navigation — header, footer, and primary navigation appear in the same location on every page
- Form labels are programmatically associated with their inputs
- Clear error messages when form validation fails
- Document language declared (lang="en") on every page
robust
- Valid, semantic HTML5 with proper landmark elements (header, nav, main, footer)
- ARIA attributes used where native HTML semantics are insufficient (modals, navigation states)
- Cross-browser tested on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge
- Mobile and desktop support with adaptive layouts
5. compatible assistive technology
The Site is tested and designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies on current operating system versions:
- Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android)
- Screen magnification: ZoomText, browser zoom, OS-level magnification
- Voice recognition: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control (Apple), Voice Access (Android)
- Keyboard-only navigation on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux
- Switch controls on iOS and macOS
If you use an assistive technology not listed above and experience accessibility issues, please let us know — we want to support as wide a range of tools as possible.
6. known limitations
Despite our efforts, some accessibility limitations exist. We are actively addressing the following:
- Product packaging mockup images are decorative; alt text describes the product strain rather than the visual composition of the packaging shot. This is intentional but may not be optimal for all screen-reader users.
- The spin-to-win promotional modal uses animation. Users sensitive to motion can dismiss the modal with the escape key or close button. We plan to add a "prefers-reduced-motion" media query in a future update.
- The embedded locator deeplinks to weedmaps.com. Weedmaps' accessibility is governed by their own accessibility statement, which we do not control.
- Some PDF content (such as the Wholesale Information packet) may not yet meet the same accessibility standards as our HTML pages. Alternative-format requests are honored on demand — see Section 10.
7. VPAT availability
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT 2.4 Rev 508) for ilikesmoove.com is in progress. Once published, a copy will be available on request to info@calibanger.com with the subject line "VPAT Request."
8. report a barrier
found something that's not accessible?
We want to hear about it. Please email info@calibanger.com with the subject line "Accessibility" and include:
- The URL of the page where you experienced the issue
- A description of the barrier (what happened, what you expected)
- The assistive technology you were using (screen reader name and version, magnification tool, etc.)
- Your operating system and browser (e.g., "Windows 11 + Firefox 124" or "macOS 14 + Safari 17")
- Your preferred contact method for follow-up
You can also call our accessibility line at (213) XXX-XXXX during business hours Pacific Time. (Number being provisioned.)
9. response timeline
- We acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days
- We resolve straightforward barriers within 30 days
- For complex remediation requiring third-party coordination, we provide a written timeline within 30 days
- If we determine an issue cannot be reasonably remediated, we will explain why and offer alternative means to access the content
10. request alternative formats
If any content on the Site is not accessible to you, we will provide it in an alternative format (large-print PDF, audio recording, plain-text version, etc.) free of charge. Email info@calibanger.com with the subject "Alternative Format Request" and tell us which content you need and your preferred format.
11. third-party content
Some content on the Site is provided by third parties whose accessibility we do not directly control:
- Weedmaps (weedmaps.com) — handles the dispensary locator; their accessibility is governed by their accessibility statement
- Klaviyo — handles email and SMS signup forms; their forms inherit our styling but their administrative interfaces have their own accessibility considerations
- Google Fonts, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity — backend services that do not present user-facing content
12. formal complaints
If you have a complaint that we have not satisfactorily addressed, you can file a formal complaint with:
- U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division — ada.gov or call 800-514-0301
- California Department of Civil Rights — calcivilrights.ca.gov
- California Commission on Disability Access — ccda.ca.gov
